DAP Steel Summer League Has Begun!

 

2014 STEEL  SUMMER LEAGUE

The Diablo Action Pistol STEEL SUMMER LEAGUE (SCSL) will begin on Wednesday the 7th of May and will continue every Wednesday evening until July 16th. 

General shooting will begin at 4:00 pm and the last registration will be at 6:45.

Action Pistol Certification will be required for all shooters.  Because of this it will be necessary to check to be sure ALL shooters have current Action Pistol Certification cards.   All SCSA (SteelChallenge Shooting Association) rules will apply except as indicated below.

The match fee will be $5 per match with AP certified juniors ( under age 18) shooting without fee.

HELP US OUT AND BRING A $5 BILL!! NOT A $20!!

Rimfire pistols may be carried in holsters on the range but all Rimfire starts will be from a low ready position.  Starts for all other divisions will be from the holster.

Registration in the Competition Categories will be as indicated in Appendix B of the rule book with B1, B2, B6, B7 and B8 being accepted.    Catagories B3, B4, and B5 are not accepted.

The series will consist of 12 matches shot for score with the final shoot on the 24th of July being a fun shoot and league awards BBQ.   As always guests and visitors are welcomed.  Eye and ear protection is required for everyone on the range.

USPSA Pistol Class with Manuel Newman

Please join us for one more class at Diablo Action Pistol Saturday March 8 with Manuel Newman. The class will be Saturday March 8 from 1-5 PM at Diablo Action Pistol. The cost is $65, checks can be made out to DAP. Class size is limited and will be on a first sign up basis.

Known as Mr. Shooter, “A” class shooter Manuel Newman started in USPSA in May 2008 at Diablo Action Pistol. He has competed in 5 Nationals Championships and has traveled to out of state Area Matches and Club Championships. He’s shot over 435 matches and has built MANY of USPSA stages, INCLUDING SEVERAL FOR THIS YEARS GOLDEN BULLET AT RICHMOND

His class will like to teach you the fundamental of how to have a proper practice by overcoming your weaknesses and improving your comfort zones. Learn skills that will show you how to save unseen time when reviewing a stage. Know your guns ability and see if it’s holding you back.
